American Hero Quilt fund raiser

Our quilt groups is having a quilt show/fund raiser to help raise money for the American Hero Quilts. I decided (while I had the flu) to make yo-yos. They are pretty easy to do while lying on the couch. Here are the 2 pillows I made with them.
We hope to make some money to help Sue fulfill her dream. See her website http://www.americanheroquilts.com/ to learn more her and her efforts to support our troops.

Sweet Baby Jane

Here is a picture of the cutest baby on earth.
Not a biased opionion ~ just the honest truth!
She is such a happy baby, smiling and giggling...
it's very contagious!
Even Sadie has a smile on her face.
We love our little Jane!

Ruby

We had to return Ruby to the breeder. My back went out AGAIN and I couldn't take care of her. She was so darling and almost house broken. She would come, sit and lay down on command. But when the door opened from the family room (her area) to the living room (our area) she would dart. I didn't have time to think about correct posture - just getting her on leash and out the door. Well, I tried to get Rick to work from home on puppy leave...
can you believe there is not such a thing?

We cried - who wouldn't with a face like that?

What's New Part 2

As you can see, Kent has worked his magic with the old cabinets ~
adding fluting, kick plates and spindles they now have character. I can hardly wait for the upper cabinets and the hood! It's going to be fabulous! He has such vision. Dave drove up and brought granite.
I told him the colors I had going on and he knew the perfect
granite for the job. . .
Yellow River!
The gold, rust, browns and greys are perfect.
(It's even more gorgeous than my camera show's. The colors are amazing.)
Dave and Kent, you guys have done an amazing job. I'm lovin' it!
Stay tuned...there's more to come!
