We celebrate mother's 90th birthday on the 18th of July. Our whole family was in attendance. It was great to spend time together (especially for me and my grandbabies). We had a big party at the church. Lunch was served and then we had a program. It was such a wonderful time and so much fun to have most of the extended family there.
This quilt was made for Mom & Dad's 60th anniversary. Each vertical row contains a house that represents each of their 7 children. In each of the tops & bottoms of the court house steps (cream areas) list the children's children and their grandchildren (mom & dad's grandchildren and great grandchildren). I brought it home with me prior to the party to update it. There are 7 children & spouses, 36 grandchildren some with spouses, and 95 greatgrandchildren. Can you believe it? What a posterity for this amazing couple married in 1941. We are all so grateful for their love and devotion to their family! We are blessed!
