Thanks to all who supported us in the American Hero Quilts fundraiser. I am so grateful for the women in my quilt group that worked so hard to make this happen. For Sue, who had the vision of making sure our War Warriors are supported. I will never become tired of hearing her story or of supporting her in this great cause. I am thrilled to hear of the many guest that were touched and have now began making quilts and doing what they can to walk along side Sue on this journey. We were hopeing by the days end to make $3,000 and ended up making over $7300 in 6 hours on a blustery spring day.
It was amazing. Over 180 quilts hung around the room, 9 raffle items, over 30 silent auction items, tons of baked goods (thanks to many loving hands that baked and baked and baked for us) and grab bags of fabric, quilting and cook books galore...We even had 2 studly Marines help us out by holding quilts for Sue during her presentation!
